Palm Sunday
Today was such a long day. It was a good day, however. It’s Palm Sunday. And here is how my day looked.
8am - Wake up
9pm - Get to church to turn everything on, prepare the mics, and get the last minute details finished for Palm Sunday Service.
10am - 11:30am - Special Palm Sunday service… concert of worship, drama, teaching, etc.
11:30am - 12:30pm - Reset stage for The Connexion (young adults service) and make adjustments to equipment. Try to sit down for 10 minutes in an attempt to “relax.”
12:30pm - 1:30pm - The Connexion, running the projection while simultaneously rehearsing my own teaching for later that day.
2pm - 3pm - The Sanctuary - Run sound for worship, do the actual teaching.
3pm - 4pm - Breakdown and cleanup.
4pm - 5pm - Play at Kean University featuring Cathy.
5pm - 6:30pm - Inhale Chinese food and go over notes with Carlos for impending meeting.
6:45pm - 8:15pm - Meeting.
8:15pm - 8:30pm - Drive Elias home.
8:30pm - 9pm - Drive to Linden for 2nd meeting to find that 2nd meeting is cancelled. Return home instead.
9pm - present - Lay on my bed… about to crash.
Like I said, long day. But it was a good day. The Palm Sunday service went well. Sound and video and everything worked splendidly. The teaching at Sanctuary went well I think. I wasn’t really nervous at all. We’ll see how the recording came out. Cathy’s play was really good… about the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a bad bad thing. Meeting was good too. Everything us just running together. I think I’m going to be asleep whether I want to or not within the half-hour.
Peace be with you.
On this day…
