For the Yankee fans

I know this news is a few days old, but I haven’t been home able to blog since last week. I just had a little gift I wanted to give all the Yankee fans, courtesy of the New York Mets‘ fans.

You’re welcome.

On this day…

Number of World Series won: Yankees 26, Mets 2. You’re welcome.

  • @Romulo Why live in the past, friend? The greatness of Yankees past - Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle - are mutually exclusive from the crappiness of the Yankees today. One has nothing to do with the other.

You’re right, why speak of the past? When you posted this blog the series had been played days earlier, therefore making it the past. Let’s speak of the present. Presently the Yankees have 26 championships won and the Mets have two. :).

  • That’s a straw man. Try again. :)

Negative my friend. I do not have a ’straw man’ argument, because you’re previous statement was perfectly refuted. If you would have said, let’s not speak about ‘past seasons’, and instead focus on the ‘current season’, then my statement would have been invalid. However, because you didn’t, I still win :).

  • It is a straw man. My argument was about “past” as it relates to past seasons and long-deceased players. You applied it to a current-season scenario.

You did not clarify that in your comment. The word you used was “past”, not “past seasons”.

  • Your interpretation is still a logical fallacy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logical_fallacy :)

Someone, just coming on here may actually thing we are angry with each other after all these comments.
