iTunes Saturday #2

Greetings blog fans! It’s the weekend again, and you know what that means. It’s week number 2 of iTunes Saturday… just in time as it will be Sunday in 10 minutes. The rules are simple. (1) You put your main music library in iTunes on “shuffle” and hit play. (2) You then list the subsequent songs that play at random. And so, here’s the next 10 random songs in my iTunes library. Ratings are included, and, of course, no cheating:

01. Audioslave - Cochise *****
02. Duran Duran - Hungry Like the Wolf *****
03. Something Corporate - Punk Rock Princess **
04. Anberlin - Fin ****
05. Barry White - I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More, Baby ****
06. Creed - Wrong Way ****
07. Rockabye Baby! (Lullabye Renditions of U2) - The Sweetest Thing (No rating)
08. Casting Crowns - Praise You in this Storm (Live) ****
09. Drew’s Famous Latin Fiesta - Bamboleo (No rating)
10. cloud2ground - Away *****

Honorable mention:
As I was finishing up the blog and adding links, another extraodinary song came on that I must share. It was #13 in the shuffle…

13. Paul Minshall - Amber (Everybody Wants to Click on Her)

What’s your “Next 10?” Leave a comment.

iTunes Saturday

So I’m doing some routine iTunes maintenance today, and I’ve noticed how a lot of people are in the habit of doing the “next 10 random songs in your iTunes library” meme. And so I shall conform.

Here then are the next 20 songs to play in my iTunes library while on shuffle. No cheating allowed and ratings are included. Yes, I said 20. I know the default is 10, but I decided to go a little overboard on this first one. Plus, the first 10 shuffles were not a very good representation of my music listenings… but alas, there is no cheating, and so I tried to lessen my shame.

01. Red - Pieces *****
02. Harold B - My Heart (Instrumental) ***
03. Drew’s Famous Latin Fiesta - Hot Hot Hot ***
04. Crownd - Revolution ** (RIP Alfred)
05. The Bible Experience - John 9 (No rating)
06. Watermark - Knees to the Earth ****
07. Electric Light Orchestra - Four Little Diamonds ****
08. OC Supertones - Escape from Reason *****
09. Green Day - Minority ****
10. Hillsongs - On Eagle’s Wings *****
11. Metro Station - Shake It ***
12. Beastie Boys - Ch-Check It Out ***
13. TV Themes - Zorro (Original series) (No rating)
14. Crownd - Torn ****
15. Led Zepplin - Stairway to Heaven *****
16. Eric Clapton - Let it Grow **
17. Kevin Max - Jumpstart Your Electric Heart *****
18. OC Supertones - Grounded ***
19. Puddle of Mudd - Drift and Die ****
20. Downhere - How They Love Each Other **

Text of the (Quasi)Day, Vol 10

http://www.mobiletracker.net/archives/images/apple-iphone-in-hand.jpgIn recent news of the iPhone’s lower price (more on that later today) I texted my friend, AJ, to let him know, as he was one of the few to actually get the 4Gb iPhone for $500. When I told him that his model was discontinued and the 8Gb model was now cheaper than he paid for 4Gb, this was the reply:

AJ: “Geez. $500 and 2 months later and I’m outdated and discontinued. I feel used and raped.”
Me: “You got Steve’d.”

Related, this text came from Treocast via Twitter shortly thereafter:

“And for all those that just dropped $599 on an 8gig iPhone, Steve once again gives you the finger.. it’s now $399.”

I love it!

A text conversation between me and Purple.

Me: “I gotta go out and get a new phone.”
Purple: “Get a new phone? How come?”
Me: “Because my current phone vexes me an makes me want to throw it in the river. :)”

New Jersey

I stole this off of MySpace. Yes, I do in fact hate these little survey things, but it is about New Jersey and I am bored. So I’m doing it. And I’m not posting it on the MySpace, so it somewhat relieved the guilt and shame of actually partaking in this evil corruption of social networking.
