So I cut my hair today. I’ve been thinking about it for awhile and finally made it out there to do the deed.

I wanted to donate it for kids with cancer to get wigs, but was in debate as to just cut it shoulder length or to be gone with it completely. I was unsure even as I was sitting in the chair about to have it done. Eventually I just told the lady that I have no sense of what looks good and to do what she felt was best. And so she did.

This photo is right after she was finished. It’s kinda messy as I was going to put a hat on and didn’t feel the need to have her style it or put any chemical in it.

I plan on growing it back and then, after awhile, going through the process again.

It’s kinda funny. I’m still not sure how I feel about the whole thing. In fact, I feel fairly indifferent to the whole cutting situation. Honestly, I don’t even care if it looks stupid or not. I guess the levels of my invanity and lack of fashion-sense are deeper than I originally thought. The important thing, I suppose, is that some kid who needs a wig will now get one. I already know that I add nothing to the style collective of the world, nor do I make any withdrawals. And I’m not really interested in impressing anyone with how trendy I can be. On the bright side of things, I did get myself a nice new Mets hat as I can wear one again. They never quite fit right when my hair was long.

Ah well, this was my day. Now I have some graphics work to do and some budgeting. Fun! I have to be back in court tomorrow for jury duty, but that is all I can say of the matter until a verdict is reached and the outcomes enters the public domain.
