Of driving and friendly reunions

I woke up early today and headed for Maryland to train some people on a computer program. It actually wasn’t that bad. The ride is easy, though it is a good 2 – 2 1/2 hours. I showed the person down there how to use fully use the program they were having trouble with. Afterwards I came back to New Jersey. 250+ mile round trip.

The drive there and back again didn’t really bother me all to much, but then I drove out to Green Brook, NJ and met up with some old friends from high school. There was an excessive amount of traffic on all possible routes out there, which made this 15-mile ride exponentially harder and more frustrating than the entire trip to and from Maryland.

But the company and catching up with old friends was worth it and quite enjoyable. We’re going to try to find a way to meet up again at some point in the future but with more people. There are still quite a few out there in the area we have not made contact with.

I should write more, but I’m exhausted and need to sleep.

Peace be with you.
